Head Pastor

CHRIS AUSTIN

Chris Austin has been Pastoring at Emmaus Fellowship for over 23 years. His family moved to Woodland Park and became part of this Fellowship in 1980. After meeting his wife Tiffany and finishing his undergrad studies in Photo Journalism, they moved out east to work as Wilderness Instructors for At Risk Youth. Once having their first of four daughters, they moved south of Kansas City where they directed an Outdoor Education Center. It was then that Chris went to Bible College at what’s now known as the Forerunner School of Ministry associated with the International House of Prayer. The Austin family moved back to Woodland Park in 1996 to oversee Highland Youth Ministry. Shortly afterwards, Chris entered the Lead Pastor role of Emmaus Fellowship. He and Tiffany have been married since 1987 and enjoy their adult children, adventuring and life in community here in Woodland Park.

TOMI FILDES

Tomi was born in Arkansas and raised in Colorado. Since childhood, Tomi has been sensitive to the Holy Spirit and the prophetic. She has a unique testimony and a “justice heart” for those who have experienced trauma. In 2020, for nine months straight, dream after dream, the Lord showed Tomi His heart for children growing up in these last days and that she would be “raising up a prophetic generation” of children who will know how to pray and prophesy, walking in the fire and glory of Jesus. In August of 2021 she was offered the position of Children’s Ministry Director for Emmaus Fellowship and has since then been leading children through Spirit-led, activated discipleship. One of her great joys is connecting children to God’s heart through prophetic art. Tomi and her husband Hank live in the heart of Woodland Park with their blended family of three boys and one princess, their Dane Mastiff “Bonnie Ray” and cat “Lilah”.

She also loves to worship and learn, so getting to lead Highland Youth Ministries, where she can do all those things with a bunch of fun kids, is a dream come true!
